Unboxing Glossier + other cool things

Glossier has been at the top of my “must try” list for as long as they’ve been around.

I love their philosophy on makeup (skin first, makeup second), their “girl on the go” approach to beauty, as well as their minimalistic designs. As you can see, I finally decided to make my first official purchase from the super cool brand. Here’s what I have to say…

First of all, I’m a huge fan of unboxing and/or watching others unbox their products. However, this brand created a whole new meaning for it. I opened up my brown box to find that inside, was a whole lot of pink! Stickers, a bubble wrap makeup bag for your goodies, a letter from Glossier, and a little reminder that I look good. Love.

For me, Glossier’s compact sizing is exactly what I’ve been looking for in a product. In this case, products. I can now take my new cream highlighter and brow pomade with me, wherever I go!

My highlight’s name is Haloscope ($22), and I got it in the pearly-white color: Moonstone. As for the brow product, it’s called Boy Brow ($16), which I got in the shade: clear. You have the option to purchase them individually, however Glossier has an amazing deal of $30 for both products…Which is what I did!

My scent, my eyes, my lips. Gourmand EDP Fragrance: Rose Enfume by Urban Outfitters ($18), Better Than Sex Mascara by Too Faced ($23), Almost Lipstick: Black Honey by Clinique ($17.50). These are my top 3 cosmetics.

I’m a girl who cheers for lashes. I live for a mascara that can take my lashes to new heights, and that’s exactly what this product does. From the formula to the brush itself, I honestly can’t say I know a better mascara. I can honestly say that I prefer this one and not the waterproof formula. My reasoning? I did not like the extra product that came out, which produced excess amounts of clumping. A perfect combo for girls like me who desire an “all day/no budge” look, is applying a light layer of The Falsies Volum’ Express Waterproof Mascara by Maybelline ($5.94 at Walmart) afterwards.

This sick eyeshadow look was created by my little sister, Bonnie. She used the Huda Beauty Obsessions Eyeshadow Palette ($27).

I found this beautiful pair of burgundy, patent (faux) leather booties at Forever21, being the only ones on clearance. They were about $9- an absolute STEAL! I wear them often, especially since I’ve been living out of boxed clothing/shoes/etc. I keep these babies out often, along with a black pair of Express trousers, a basic black turtle neck, and my tan London Fog trench coat.

I love my bedroom. It’s my creative space, my quiet place, and where I spent most of my time growing up. I’m definitely going to miss it, but I know I’ll be back to love it again.

Only 4 more days until I make my big move to Manhattan! Stay tuned.
