50 Shades of Hair | My decision to go natural

I’ve always loved changing things up and experimenting with my look…particularly hair. I think it’s normal to want to want to test out the styles that make you feel like your best self, and I encourage everyone to do exactly that.

I underwent a series of excessive experimenting from freshman year of high school to sophomore year of college. Now that I’m a junior in college, I feel I’ve reached a place where I’m happiest with the most natural version of my hair and self.

Of course I’ll never stop loving makeup (I won’t be letting that go anytime soon), just like I’ll never stop admiring the beauty of enhanced hair colors, but I can honestly say that I feel like MY best self when I’m not worrying about root re-growth or what hair color to adjust to next.

I can’t say that I don’t appreciate the times where I allowed myself to run wild with self expression. So, here are some of the “50 shades” that my hair has rocked, dating back to freshman year of high school.

If you like dyeing your hair, I am absolutely not saying that you should not. This was a personal choice of mine, where I felt like by doing so, I’ve taken back a piece of me. If you should choose to play around with different shades and hues, I encourage you to be free! I know I enjoyed it. 🙂
